Amber Heard: I Love Being a Stepmom to Johnny Depp’s Kids
Young actress Amber Heard opened up about her marriage to Johnny Depp when she spoke to Marie Claire for their December’s issue.
The actress said that being the stepmom to her husband’s two children is the greatest gift she could ever get. “[It is] an honor and the greatest, most surprising gift I have ever received in my life… I feel new flavors that I didn’t know existed. New colors that I didn’t know existed have been added to my life. I’m so happy,” she said.
Even though the media are constantly attacking their marriage and rumors are flying about the troubles in paradise and potential divorce, Amber and Johnny seem stronger than ever. And how does Amber deal with these horrible rumors? “I try not to react to the horrible misrepresentation of our lives,” she said, obviously believing that the best way to fight off evil tongues is to ignore them.
Not only is the love between her and her husband blossoming, his kids seem to adore her as well. The actor has two children, Lily-Rose Depp, 16, and Jack John Christopher Depp III, 13, with his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Paradis who he had been in a relationship with for 14 years until 2012.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have kept their relationship very low key ever since they got together in 2012 and they got married in a private ceremony on Depp’s private island in the Bahamas earlier this year. In such circumstances, it is no wonder that media can’t stop speculating about their marriage. But Amber looks happy and content and she doesn’t seem to care at all about what the whole world thinks about her and she utterly enjoys being a wife and a stepmother.
