Donald Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
Apparently, anything is possible as Donald Trump has reportedly been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Controversial republican presidential candidate is among over 200 people who have been nominated for the prestigious award this year. The odds may not go in his favor, but it’s shocking enough he has deserved the honor to find himself among the nominated at all, after all the controversial stances he has expressed so far not only on international relations, but also on gender issues and racism.
Trump is reportedly in the run for the Prize thanks to “his vigorous peace through strength ideology, used as a threat weapon of deterrence against radical Islam, ISIS, nuclear Iran and Communist China,” but it’s not clear who it was who nominated the billionaire politician.
Some other candidates for the Prize alongside Donald Trump are Nadia Murad, a woman who has escaped from ISIS sexual slavery and became a spokeswoman for all women who have gone through similar torture, and Pope Francis for his incredible contribution and efforts in many areas.
Trump is far from winning the Nobel Prize, since the five-member Norwegian Nobel Committee are used to getting hundreds of nominations and then narrowing the number down to one final winner who, if we may add, really deserves this prestigious award.
