These ladies had captivating beauty, grace and elegance and everybody suddenly started being interested in fashion – men and women. 1. Naomi Campbell
She was born in London to a Jamaican mother but she also has African and Chinese ancestry. These exotic genes brought her incomparable beauty and she was scouted on the street when she was only 15 years old. Her trademark cheekbones and almond eyes, together with her lean figure and long black hair launched her right to the top of the modeling world. She quickly became one of the most recognizable faces in fashion and every fashion designer wanted to work with her. Let’s just mention some of them – Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and Yves St. Laurent.
In 1987, she became the second black girl to appear on the cover of the British edition of Vogue magazine and the first black girl on the cover of French Vogue. Naomi started changing the history of modeling and soon she was pronounced as one of the six supermodels in the fashion industry. She is now 45 years old and still looks stunning. She is still working as a model, but she has also tried venturing into singing and acting and is currently acting in the TV show Empire.
