Taylor Swift Named World’s Highest Earning Music Artist
Taylor Swift (25) has been named the world’s best paid music artist in 2015 by Sunday Express magazine, and it is estimated that she daily racks in more than $1 million. Thanks to her best-selling album 1989 and especially thanks to her world tour and profitable endorsement deals the pop sensation made nearly $320 million since the beginning of this year.
If she keeps it up, Taylor will become a billionaire before her 30th birthday!
Now it seems that her decision to switch to pop music has been the smartest thing she’s ever done, and her 5th album has been dubbed by many as “album of the year”. The Red world tour significantly increased her profit and she earned $17 million from 5 U.S. concerts alone.
Apart from singing, Taylor has become a powerful brand, which is why she launched 3 of her very own perfumes and has signed some very lucrative endorsement deals, like the one with Sony.
“Right now, Swift is untouchable,” said Mike Raia, LA-based media analyst. “Taylor is so ahead of everyone else in music that she has become not only a powerhouse entertainer but also an important mover and shaker on the commercial side of the music industry.”
Forbes named her the 8th richest celebrity and the 64th most influential woman in the world.
Since May this year TayTay has been seeing superstar DJ Calvin Harris, and in June they were named world’s best-paid celebrity couple in 2015 with joint earnings of around $146 million – de-throning musical power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z in the process.
Taylor continues to dominate the music industry with 6 American Music Awards nominations and we are sure that she will win most of them if not all, but let’s wait for the official award ceremony that will be aired live on ABC on November 22.
