These Are the Stars That Had an Eating Disorder
Sometimes, the pressure of fame can take its toll on insecure celebrities and many of them have battled anorexia or bulimia. However, not all of them started struggling with eating disorders when they became stars, some of them were going through it even in childhood.
Luckily, they have all managed to beat the disorder and come back stronger than ever.
1. Lindsay Lohan
The star of the teenage cult movie Mean Girls, Lindsay Lohan, looks like a washed up copy of the hot girl she once was. While her fame sky-rocketed, Lindsay couldn’t cope with the sudden attention. In 2006, she admitted to having a problem, but it was months before she could say it out loud. She suffered from bulimia, and although everybody around her was worried about her body changing in dangerous ways, she wouldn’t go to the hospital. But then she started noticing it herself.
Her arms were so thin it was disgusting and she constantly felt weak. But that was not the whole problem, Lindsay started experiencing tremendous headaches. She recalls one night at her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderama’s home when she just couldn’t get out of bed and she screamed and threw things around her because she couldn’t stand the pain anymore. Luckily, that was the wake-up call the young actress needed and she finally admitted herself to a hospital.
