Say Goodbye To Bruce, Say Hello To Caitlyn Jenner!

April 2015 – After much speculation, former Olympian, Bruce Jenner finally admits to being a woman. Interviewed by Diane Sawyer for ABC’s 20/20, Jenner had this much to say about his identity:

I’m me. I’m a person. This is who I am. I am not stuck in anybody’s body. My brain is much more female than male,” Jenner then continued to confirm, “For all intents and purposes, I am a woman.”

That was almost 2 months ago but the reality star is not done with the surprises just yet. Earlier this month, Bruce Jenner has just come out through Vanity Fair as Caitlyn Jenner and for the rest of this article he will now be referred to as Caitlyn and “she”.

In a behind the scenes video of the Vanity Fair shoot, Caitlyn tells of the differences between her and her former self,

Bruce always had to tell a lie, he was always living a lie, every day he had a secret from morning until night. Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets,” she continues, “As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.

The cover itself is a thing of beauty. Shot by the famous Annie Leibovitz, Caitlyn reveals her physical transformation in a silky white bodice sitting on what seems like a stool and coyly leaning against a backdrop. She looks like a lady with a secret which couldn’t be further from the truth because along with this cover for Vanity Fair is a story about the unfolding of Caitlyn Jenner’s life and how she has come to terms with herself as a woman.

No more secrets for the beautiful lady.

As Caitlyn admits, the journey of this famous transition is not without fear and anxiety. Jenner reveals to Vanity Fair that she had a panic attack at one point after she underwent her physical transformation. She tells the mag, that after her 10-hour feminization surgery she wondered if she had gone too far. Caitlyn’s fears were put at ease when she called a counselor from the Los Angeles Gender Center and realized that doubt and second-guessing her decision is human and temporary.

In the hopes to further educate the masses and raise awareness and understanding about what it’s like to be transgender, Caitlyn is going to star in an eight-part docuseries – I Am Cait – produced by the same producers that work on Keeping Up With The Kardashians .
